Purpose of Life is Distinctive
There are many ideas about the purpose of life. It can be unique for everyone. Individuals pursuing different careers, professions, occupations, and skills ultimately follow a dream.
Some of them make one objective at a time, and others may have multiple goals simultaneously. Humans survive and thrive during the process of evolution.
We eat, sleep, live, and grow like other species on the planet. The only difference is that we see dreams, have objectives and strive to get better from our current status.
Moreover, every human being has specific and unique goals according to their abilities, resources, and talent.
So again! “What is the purpose of life?” I would like to quote ― Ralph Waldo Emerson here;
“The purpose of life is not only to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
As humans, we have empathy, sympathy, motivation, and a sense of achievement. So, collectively, we have one ultimate purpose: to live and grow naturally, so we don’t have to do much for it. But the real purpose of life makes us stand out from the crowd and get something unique in life.
Diverse purpose of life for various people:
These are a few examples from real life:
- Devotion towards heritage;
- Spending a simple life;
- Meaningful profession;
- Satisfying career;
- Social work-Serving humanity;
- Fulfilling responsibilities to the family or friends;

We Need Purpose to Drive Us
An overarching goal that drives you is what you can call finding your purpose. This can be anything of your choice. Whatever the idea is, it must help you to aim. When you start your day, you have small tasks to achieve a more significant objective in a certain period.
That one goal is interconnected with some other plans, and overall, they make the purpose of your life altogether.
Why do you Require a Purpose for Life?
It is evident that we cannot lead our lives without a purpose but do you really need it? Does it make any difference if you do not want to achieve anything? Is there any problem with not having a purpose in life?
The short answer is YES. Without the purpose of life, you cannot reach your optimum potential. Humans are the most intelligent of all species.
If you categorize animals, even they have a purpose in life. Some animals are for security, some for commuting, some for hunting, and some for becoming pets. Based on that, as a human, how could we think that we can live a meaningless life?
There is a possibility that some people have a hard time finding the right purpose of their life, but you undoubtedly have at least one. Finding your purpose can help you:
- Feel more motivated as you put your best foot forward and work towards a real goal;
- Attain a sense of significance and actuality;

However, all of us have periods in our life where we feel aimless and don’t know what to do with ourselves, some people have no idea what they really want to do in life.
For example, having difficulty in selecting an appropriate career path indicates that you are still looking for your passions and purpose that may lie somewhere different entirely.
Not having or defining a purpose makes it hard to get out of bed each morning and get through the day. It means you seriously need to audit and reconcile your goals. Some people may find their purpose clearly expressed in several aspects of life.
Find Your Purpose
Plunking down and pondering what you need to accomplish with your life can appear to be simple. But it is not that straightforward. Everybody would be a lot more joyful if they could understand what they want to achieve in life a bit earlier.

Gradually you will see the priority list is shrinking. By the time you’re left with 2 or 3 items, ensure these are your favorite activities to do.
Dedicate More Time to The Purpose
You might know what you need from life, yet that doesn’t mean you’re naturally going to be proactive in seeking after it. Assuming you’re sufficiently fortunate to have observed significance in your own or work life, you really must follow up on it.
